Course Description

The Healthcare IT (HIT) field is experiencing rapid growth due to technological advancements and the shift from paper files to electronic records. It stands as one of the fastest-growing sectors in IT today, continually generating new jobs and opportunities.

In our Healthcare IT Technician course, you will complete both healthcare and technical coursework, where you will learn medical office procedures, administration, and Healthcare IT certification basics.

Upon completion of the training, you will be able to choose between two certification pathways: a Healthcare focus (Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS) and CompTIA A+) or Technical focus (CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+).

Upon completing our program and passing the Healthcare IT certification exams, you'll be qualified for roles such as Practice Workflow and Information Specialist, Management Redesign Specialist, Clinician/Practitioner Consultant, Implementation Support Specialist/Manager, PC Technician, Technical/Software Support Specialist, Technology Specialist, and more!

Outcomes

  • Manage and troubleshoot basic network infrastructures using common ports and networking protocols.
  • Install and manage wired and wireless networks, adhering to standards and utilizing modern testing tools.
  • Assess security risks and identify potential threats to hardware, software, and physical locations.
  • Conduct risk mitigation for systems, hardware, and peripherals.
  • Implement disaster recovery procedures and security contingency plans.

  • HI 1011 Medical Office Procedures And Administration: Length - 96 hours, Duration – 6 Weeks
  • HI 1018 Electronic Health Records: Length - 64 Hours, Duration – 4 Weeks
  • IT 2012 A+ Comprehensive: Length - 96 Hours, Duration – 6 Weeks
  • IT 2013 Network+: Length - 96 Hours, Duration – 6 Weeks
  • IT 3010 Healthcare IT: Length - 32 Hours, Duration - 2 Weeks
